Descripción e indicaciones:
La fosfomicina actúa inhibiendo la síntesis de la pared celular bacteriana. Inhibe o inactiva la enzima UDP-N-acetilglucosamina -3-0- enolpiruvil transferasa (MurA).2 Esta enzima bacteriana cataliza uno de los pasos primordiales (reacción limitante) en la biosínteisis de peptidoglicano, específicamente la unión del fosfoenolpiruvato (PEP) al grupo hidroxilo 3′ de la UDP-N-acetilglucosamina. El PEP provee un punto de ligamiento que une a la porción proteica con el glicano en la formación del peptido-glicano.
La fosfomicina es análoga estructural del PEP, de manera que inhibe la acción del MurA por alquilación del sitio activo que es un residuo de cisteína correspondiente al Cys 115 de la enzima en la bacteria Escherichia coli.3 La fosfomicina entra la pared bacteriana por medio de un transportador tipo glicerofosfato.
Producto especialmente formulado para combatir problemas de índole respiratorios, en todo tipo de aves y porcinos.
Vía de Administración y dosificación:
Oral
Dosis General: 30 – 40 mg/Kg/PV en el agua de bebida, por 3 a 5 días.
Aves: 1 ml/1 Lt de agua de bebida por 3 a 5 días
Porcinos: 1,0 ml/20 Kg pv/día durante 3 a 5 días
Dosis práctica en recepción de pollitos: 100 ml por cada 5.000 pollitos/día.

Fosfomycin works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall. It inhibits or inactivates the enzyme UDP-N-acetylglucosamine -3-0- enolpyruvyl transferase (MurA) .2 This bacterial enzyme catalyzes one of the primary steps (limiting reaction) in peptidoglycan biosyntheysis, specifically the binding of phosphoenolpyruvate (PEP) to 3 ‘hydroxyl group of UDP-N-acetylglucosamine. The PEP provides a point of attachment that joins the protein moiety with the glycan in the formation of the peptido-glycan.
Fosfomycin is a structural analog of PEP, in such a way that it inhibits the action of MurA by alkylating the active site, which is a cysteine residue corresponding to the Cys 115 of the enzyme in the bacterium Escherichia coli.3 Fosphomycin enters the bacterial wall through a glycerophosphate transporter.

Route of Administration and dosage:
Oral

Practical dose in chick reception: 100 ml for every 5,000 chicks / day.
